The crepe pan features a non-stick coating that allows crepes to easily slide out when done. Probably one of the biggest pluses about the VillaWare Crepe Maker is that it takes about 30 seconds to make a crepe versus the usual few minutes and you don’t have to mess with flipping them.
One thing that people are a little surprised with is how you use this small appliance. A dipping plate is provided for the batter. Then you simply dip the crepe maker upside down into the dipping pan to coat it evenly with batter and flip it back over to cook. The results are thinner, more even crepes than a traditional crepe pan creates.

A couple things to note:
A couple of the reviews I read, the reviewers were complaining about the non-stick surface wearing off while other reviewers raved that they had owned their VillaWare Crepe Maker for years and were not having any issues with wear and tear of the product.
Another reviewer complained it was difficult to use because of the way you have to dip the pan into the batter but most people seemed to find this method simple to master.
